“If you dare to break new ground and take on responsibility at Rödl & Partner, many doors are open to you.”

I got to know Public Management Consulting (PMC) at Rödl & Partner in Cologne during an internship semester as part of my business studies at the University of Applied Sciences in Jena. Surprised by the variety of topics, I also wrote my diploma thesis there while working. After my studies, I started in 2006 as an audit assistant in the field of auditing and consulting for public administrations. With my appointment as a certified tax advisor 4 years later, completely new perspectives in the field of public administration opened up to me.

Now I not only assist our clients in the preparation or auditing of municipal opening balance sheets and annual financial statements, but also support them with coaching on various topics of municipal accounting. Furthermore, I am responsible for the management of the association “Institut der Rechnungsprüfer und Rechnungsprüferinnnen in Deutschland e.V.” It was co-founded by Rödl & Partner and represents an extremely important network for us strategically.

During the one-year parental leave due to the birth of my son at the beginning of 2011 and my daughter at the end of 2013, I kept in close contact with my colleagues and then happily returned to the team and my areas of responsibility. Through mutual flexibility and creativity, I still manage to combine the very travel-intensive job with my family. What I appreciate most about Rödl & Partner is the pragmatic and self-responsible way of dealing with each other.
