You have been with the company for almost 19 years. What are your tasks and how has your job developed over time?

I first came into contact with Rödl & Partner as an intern during my studies in business administration. Just 4 weeks after starting my internship, I received an offer to join Rödl & Partner as an audit assistant after finishing my studies. From the beginning, I have been looking after larger medium-sized family businesses in the field of auditing and tax consulting. During my time at Rödl & Partner, I passed the exams to become a certified tax adviser and auditor, got my own team and was appointed Partner.

What makes Rödl & Partner an interesting employer?

Despite the very important implementation of digitalisation in the service lines, at Rödl & Partner the "focus is on people", both the client and the individual employee. Thanks to the possibility to organise the place of work and the working hours very individually to a large extent, and last but not least a strong support in the team, it was possible for me to work full time and continue to look after my clients despite the birth of my two children (now 9 and 3 years old). The work-life balance at Rödl & Partner is optimal for me. Rödl & Partner assumes a considerable degree of social responsibility for its employees and thus plays a pioneering role in the industry.

What tips can you give to future colleagues who are faced with the major task of balancing family and career?

The compatibility of family and work cannot be planned in every case. It requires constant readjustment and adaptation to changing situations. That is why my advice to young colleagues is not to plan too much in advance and think about possible difficulties, but to simply try out working alongside the family. Often the compatibility works better than you could ever have imagined.

What opportunities for further training do you have at Rödl & Partner?

In addition to numerous internal and external training opportunities, further development at Rödl & Partner also takes place through the assignment of new, interesting mandates or projects. In all the past years, I never had the feeling of standing still. Further development at Rödl & Partner is absolutely desirable and is intensively promoted.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

What I enjoy most at Rödl & Partner is the extraordinarily good cooperation with other colleagues also across business areas. Even in stressful times, you can have fun with your colleagues. You can rely on them and always have the feeling that it is worthwhile to work together on a project. The close and very comradely cooperation is further strengthened by the flat hierarchies and working at eye level.
